Available Support Services
- Welfare & Hardship: Emergency accommodation assistance, financial aid for medical or social needs, and help during times of crisis.
- Health & Wellbeing: Guidance for mental health services, PTSD and trauma counseling, medical treatments, and mobility equipment like hearing aids or wheelchairs.
- Advocacy & Navigation: Assistance with filing claims and applications through Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD).
- Career Transition: CV preparation, interview coaching, and translation of military skills to civilian employment.

The membership process for the Kaiapoi RSA is straightforward. For former service members, proof of service is typically required, which may include a discharge certificate or similar documentation. Community members interested in supporting the objectives of the RSA can also apply for membership
